DOCUMENTARY INTERN NEEDED
Seeking an intern to dedicate a minimum of 2 days per week to assist the producers during post-production of a nationally broadcast PBS documentary based out of Brooklyn. THE LAST CONQUISTADOR will air on the award-winning series, POV. Long-tiime PBS producer John Valadez is Executive Producer.
A world famous sculptor builds the largest statue of its kind ever created in human history, but Native Americans believe it is a monument to genocide and white supremacy. Literally caught in between are the people of El Paso, Texas where the statue is being constructed. Protests, conflicting visions of history and an artists quixotic quest transform this isolated border town in unexpected ways.
Intern should know Final Cut Pro because she/he will perform media management, dubbing and file exchanges with the editor. It should be great fun and a big challenge. An opportunity to receive a credit on high profile nationally broadcast film. Could lead to more work in the future.

Summer Internship Opp

The THF Summer Internship Program provides an extraordinary opportunity for women and people of color to gain firsthand experience working for some of the most well-known and successful companies in the communications industry.
If you are an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a college, university or other accredited educational institution, and if you are interested in learning more about entertainment and multimedia platforms, the T. Howard Foundation is the answer.
Here are just a few of the advantages:
Paid Internships
Paid internships in Communications and Entertainment are hard to come by. The T. Howard Foundation believes that an internship is about more than just "cheap labor" - rather, it is invaluable training for future employees. As a reflection of this belief, interns are paid $10.00 to $12.00 an hour depending on the host company.
High Profile Companies
Some of the most prestigious companies in the industry support the T. Howard Foundation. Click here for a complete listing of THF Host Companies.
Real Career Experience
The T. Howard Foundation's goal is to provide highly talented candidates with industry experience and opportunities for future employment. To further this goal, host companies provide a diverse range of assignments designed to enhance an intern's understanding of entertainment and multimedia platforms and focus on meaningful projects, rather than just clerical tasks. In addition, each intern is mentored by a designated company employee that provides guidance, encouragement and support throughout the internship.
Networking
Networking is an important asset in any field, especially for young people just entering the work force. The T. Howard Foundation is committed to providing its interns with the best start possible. Interns are given multiple networking opportunities within the host company as well as throughout the industry at large, at events like the T. Howard Foundation's Annual Fundraising Dinner in New York City. It's not unheard of for THF alumni to be offered full time employment after their internships - a handshake with the right person can go a long way.
Take a look at some of our success stories to see where former THF interns are now.
Continued Opportunity
The internship itself is only one of the many opportunities available to THF Interns. Interns are also eligible to apply for a Scott Weiss Scholarship and assistance with permanent placement.
