Seeking: Bi-Lingual Spanish editor for Spiritual History Short DOC From: thestudio1101@yahoo.com
Manhattan based independent filmmaker looking for one who can devote some time. All expenses paid and fee for work is negotiable. This is a film with my personal take on what it means to be from Cuba but grow up in NYC and visit Cuba frequently. To complete this poetic piece, the story craves a more technically experienced editor than I am. Previous knowledge of the IFP market would be nice. Shot in Cuba and USA it is a story giving visibility to the spirit of the Cuban people and the smoke of the Cuban cigar that gives visibility to the spiritual connection with diverse cultures through all cycles of time. This is an ultra low-budget film, so pay is low between $50 - $150/day for all positions. We won't be working more than 12-hour days.
Positions Available:
DP - Must be familiar with the DVX camera. We need someone who moves fast, can light a shot to evoke a dark and somber atmosphere, and get the most out of a mini-DV cam like the DVX. Sense of humor and great onset attitude a must. This gig is perfect for a DP who has shot shorts and now needs a feature for his/her reel.
1st AD - Ability to keep us moving forward, with a sense of humor.
Script Supervisor - Someone with an eye for continuity. We're looking for someone who is getting their hours toward union membership. We don't need tons of reports/paperwork, mainly just the lined script.
Sound mixer - We'll be recording directly into the DVX camera.
Grips/PAs - These are unpaid intern positions in all aspects of onset production. If interested, please let us know what department you'd feel most comfortable working in.
