Position at the Rockefeller Foundation

Position:

The Special Projects Associate will work directly with the COO and operations department directors on a variety of special projects.
Projects could include designing and implementing a new contracting process or creating an approach for multi-year budgeting.
The Special Projects Associate will have the opportunity to work with the following departments: Financial Resources (including the Treasurer's office which manages the Foundation's endowment), Human Resources, Facilities (including our 3 regional offices-- Italy, Kenya, Thailand), Information technology, Records management, Library, and Risk Management.

Projects will vary in type, length and intensity so a successful candidate must be able to prioritize, focus on end products, and work independently and with teams. Work will involve benchmarking the Foundation's financial and operational performance against peer organizations, and importing best practices from industry to guide the Foundation's operational and financial management.

This is a unique opportunity to help align operational functions to meet the Foundation's emerging strategic plan. This represents a true opportunity to exercise a high degree of creativity in improving organizational systems and performance at the Foundation.
The position is offered on a short-term contract (one year) with the potential of a permanent position at the end of the contract.

Looking for College Students.
SUMMER PROGRAM STAFF NEEDED!
Say Yes to Education is currently hiring group leaders for the Summer Academic and Enrichment Programs in five schools in East Harlem and West Harlem, PS 161 (499 W. 133rd St.), PS 180 (370 W.
120th St.), PS 57 (176 E. 115th St.), PS 83 (219 E. 109th St.), and PS 182 (219 E.109th St.), for the Say Yes students entering 2nd grade in Fall 2006.
* Do you have experience working with children?
* Do you have experience in the arts or sports? We are looking for college students to provide basic literacy and math support and/or to teach dance, music, art, sports to children ages 6-7 years old. Please see the attached job description.
* Are you available to work full-time for 6 weeks this summer:
-Monday, July 3 through Thursday, August 10, 2006 (6 weeks)
-4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)
-32 hours/week
PLUS

BRAG/CDC Summer Internship Program
LVMH Fashion Group in conjunction with the BRAG/CDC will be conducting an internship program in merchandising. BRAG (The Black Retail Action Group) and the CDC (Consumer Distribution Committee) conduct a summer internship program which benefits historically underrepresented students interested in retail and related industries. Over the past 30 years more than 500 undergrads who have completed the program have gone on to achieve career success in manufacturing, wholesale and retail. It is designed to expose college juniors to the nuances of working in an authentic retail environment.
A mentorship program and professional and cultural field trips are also part of the curriculum, which afford students the opportunity of meeting and exchanging views with professionals involved in various areas of the industry.
BRAG, a not for profit organization founded in 1970, is comprised of minorities in retail and wholesale industries, dedicated to the inclusion of people of color into the mainstream of the American economy. The CDC, which started in 1968, is a group of major retailers and manufacturers that have worked to increase employment opportunities for minorities within their respective industries.
The partnership is a comprehensive work and developmental tool that includes everything from business seminars and workshops to retail math classes and a business case study that is evaluated by top industry executives.

Female Production

Hi,
I have been hired to produce a DVD for a fun lecturer.
The project is a female centered workshop that takes place over four months. I'm looking for a camera WOMAN and sound recordists for the following dates:
Saturdays and Sundays (10-5pm):
April 29 and 30th
May 20 and 21st
June 24th and 25th
July 22 and 23rd
and Friday, June 23rd from 1pm - 9pm (times may
change)
It will be in one location in a loft studio in downtown Manhattan. There will be 150 audience members from around the world to listen to this one female teacher which a couple of guest lecturers sprinkled in.
I'm looking for a female DP who owns and operates a 24p camera, microphones and lights. And if the budget allows a separate sound recordists who is FEMALE, of course. And I'm also looking for a FEMALE intern who can help with the shoot. I have I mentioned I need Females... :)
